Rock Island Commuter Coach 2584
Rock Island 2584 is the handicap accessible coach on our Fraser Trains. It was built in 1928 for the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad for commuter service in the Chicago area. They are often referred as “Capone Cars” as they were in service when Chicago’s famous gangster Al Capone & his associates rode the rails. They remained in active service for the Rock Island for nearly 60 years before coming to Boone.
