2024 JHARM Speaker Series – Gary Holzinger

Gary Holzinger, nationally known railroad author, historian, speaker, and passionate Milwaukee Road fan, will present at the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum, 225 10th Street in Boone, Iowa on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
Gary will provide insight into the little-known Chicago, Anamosa & Northern Railway (the “CAN”). This obscure 35-mile-long road was started in 1904, continued through 1912, and “died” in 1915. To add injury to insult, the railroad’s infrastructure was completely removed by 1917. Be sure to check out this fascinating look into Iowa railroad history.
