2024 JHARM Speaker Series – Don Hofsommer

Don Hofsommer, national railroad author, historian, and speaker will present Puddlejumpers at the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum, 225 10th Street in Boone, Iowa at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Professor Hofsommer will present a free illustrated Powerpoint ZOOM program on important aspects of railroad Doodlebugs (gas-electrics). How they began, their contribution to Iowa railroads, as well as their lasting impact. One would find gas-electrics in all corners of Iowa during their heyday. Join us for this fascinating look at this part of Iowa railroad history.
