We restored a former Chicago & North Western commuter coach to its original appearance. It now provides climate controlled comfort to passengers on our Fraser Excursion trains. Before coming to the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad, Car 96 hauled passengers for Chicago’s Metra public transit.
Our 80-ton GE Center Cab unit, 2254 (formerly US Army 7858), underwent mechanical and cosmetic restoration (both interior and exterior).
Our Rock Island coach received some TLC, starting with the trucks.
Our steam locomotive, JS-8419, also received its normal off season inspections and repairs.
