Let’s take a Sunday picnic

Looking for something fun and different to do on your Sunday? Why not gather the family, pack a lunch, and take a picnic aboard the historic 1950s diners of the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad. You bring your meal, we provide the table and a 2+ hour ride through the beautiful Des Moines River Valley. And you won’t have to worry about ants or rain! Enroute you will cross the breathtaking 156′ tall Bass Point Creek High Bridge as well as the Des Moines River Bridge. Tickets are still available for Sunday’s Wolf Picnic Train – just $32 for adults, $14 for kids, and children under age 3 are free. Our basic excursion train, the Fraser Train, will also be operating tomorrow, with one departure at 1:30 PM.  And, don’t forget to visit the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad Gift Shop and the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum – both open at 10:00 AM. All aboard!
